Itinerary

The landscape of the Pampas of the Yacuma is a paradise of calm waters and exuberant wildlife. After checking in at the boutique ecolodge, you navigate the rivers that mirror the sky, observing caimans, capybaras and exotic birds.

Dinner under the stars is a moment to pause, listen to the night sounds and feel part of this vast ecosystem.

A morning in the pampas offers a close encounter with the region’s flora and fauna. This day is for nature lovers, with opportunities to observe unique species such as the Lucachi monkey, a treasure of the Bolivian Amazon.

The riverside picnic lunch celebrates local ingredients, then we move to nearby lagoons for a unique spectacle of herons at sunset — an unforgettable experience: the sky painted in golden tones over magical wetlands accompanied by an outdoor snack.

Here we can also attempt to fish for tucunaré (peacock bass) for our dinner before returning to our eco-lodge.

On the third day we visit a sustainable cattle ranch to learn about llanero traditions and respectful cattle-raising practices in this privileged zone known for healthy, organic feeding. You will participate in milking, rodeo activities and other tasks that connect you with daily llanero life.

At the same estancia we will visit the land of the black caimans — a spectacle that allows you to observe a large number of caimans in their natural habitat.

Return to the eco-lodge for dinner.

The adventure begins early in Santa Rosa del Yacuma, from where we depart to Rurrenabaque. Upon arrival we take a boat to navigate Madidi National Park, one of the most biodiverse ecosystems on the planet. Along the route we visit the imposing Bala Canyon, a rocky formation sculpted by the Beni River and witness to the history of the indigenous peoples of the region.

We continue to the community of San Miguel del Bala, where the Tacana people welcome us and guide us through the jungle, sharing ancestral knowledge about flora, fauna and traditions. After a typical Amazonian lunch, we explore trails in search of monkeys, birds and other emblematic Madidi species. At dusk we return to Rurrenabaque to conclude a day full of nature and culture.

After a restorative rest in Rurrenabaque, we stroll its streets to soak up its charm before making the return journey.
